Week 33 – The Meatgrinder

This is the revised Halaheike class pocket warship design that I used for Hroal Irontooth’s flagship, the Meatgrinder. It is very different from the version in the Pirates of Drinax books, and indeed Hroal has altered it further according to his own needs and resources in the years he possessed it, which ended with his death in battle in the 1107 Battle of Exe.

I did incorporate two key features of the original Halaheike: the descriptive element about the ship trying to do too many things at once; and the two terrifying, fifty-ton particle beam bays, which mean that it can take on most ships in the Reach, one-on-one.
